My trip total climbs/descents seem wrong.

By default, Trail Boss uses GPS elevation to compute elevation totals. GPS elevation can be inaccurate.

If you place a high value on accurate climb/descent statistics then select 'Use Barometer For Altitude' under the 'Barometer, Sounds, Screen' option on Trail Boss's Settings page, it is much more accurate.

You can correct a trip's elevation data using Trail Boss's global elevation database. You should only do this in unusual circumstances because when the barometer works correctly its elevations will be more accurate than the database.

To correct the elevations:
  1. Tap the trip's preview map in the Trip Log to select it onto the map page.
  2. Place the ⊹ cursor on the track line, it will change to an info button. Tap it to load the Elevation Profile Page.
  3. Select 'Options' then 'Elevation Correction'.
  4. The trip elevation data will be replaced with elevations obtained from the elevation database on our server.
