Yes.

Trail Boss can import KML/KMZ/GPX files. KML/KMZ files are the format made popular by Google Earth. GPX files are used by many 3rd party Apps. Most mapping Apps can export trip tracks in one or all of these formats.

To import a kml/kmz/gpx file:
  1. Have your friend export his trip track to a kml/kmz or gpx file and attach it to an email and send it to you.
  2. Open the email on your phone.
  3. Tap the attachment icon.
  4. You will be shown a list of Apps that can import the file (you may have to tap the ↥ share button to see the App list). Select Trail Boss.
  5. The trip will be added to the top of your Trip Log and it is marked 'Imported'.
If your friend uses Trail Boss tell them to use gpx, it contains more details than kml/kmz.

Using GPX files requires a subscription. You can use KML/KMZ without a subscription.
