What is the "Trails" option for?

There are many web sites devoted to hiking, biking, off roading, or your adventure of choice. Many of these sites have downloadable trail maps. We have compiled a list of sites that our users have found and made it available with the Trails button on Trail Boss’s settings page. Where possible, we have provided the 'Download Trail Map' button to download the map from the web site directly into Trail Boss.

If a web site has many trails then you have to select 'Visit Web Site' and select the trail to download. The web site will be opened in Safari. Look for the KML, KMZ, or GPX trail file links. Tap a link and Safari will download the file. Then tap Safari's ↓ button (to the right of Safari's address bar) to see Safari's downloaded file list. Select your file then tap its share button ↥. Select Trail Boss from the the list of Apps and it will be imported to the top of your Trip Log and marked 'imported'.
