If a web site has routes in KML/KMZ or GPX formats then you can import them directly from the web site into Trail Boss.
  1. Open the web site in Safari on your phone.
  2. Locate the route KML/KMZ or GPX file and tap it.
  3. Safari will download the file.
  4. Tap Safari's ↓ button beside the address bar at the top right of the screen. This will show Safari’s list of downloaded files.
  5. Select your file from the list.
  6. Tap the ↥ share button.
  7. Select Trail Boss from the list of Apps.
  8. The file will be imported and added to the top of the Trip Log.
Another option is to visit the web site using your laptop/desktop and download the KML/KMZ or GPX file there. Then email the file to yourself and open the email on your phone. Then tap the file attachment in the email and import it into Trail Boss.

Trail Boss includes many links to web sites that have trail maps in KML/KMZ and GPX formats. Tap the 'Trail Maps' button on Trail Boss’s Settings Page to view the list. Some listings have direct links to download the trail map, tap the 'Download Trail Map' to get it. Other listings are for web sites that have many trail maps and you'll have to visit the site to choose the one you want. Tap the 'View Web Site' button to go there.
